KV Solar Supply is pleased to announce a significant change to the federal tax credit provision for residential grid-tie solar electric systems. As of January 1, 2009 residential systems will qualify for a full 30% federal tax credit. Prior to this the federal tax credit was capped at $2,000 for residential systems. The change does not affect the tax credit for commercial systems as they already could claim the full 30% credit.
