Probably the biggest concerns when considering investing in renewable energy are the financing, out-of-pocket costs, and the number of years it will take for the system to pay for itself.  Many residential customers find that the most cost effective way to finance a solar system is to utilize their home equity line of credit.  However, other financing opportunities are available, click here  for a list of companies that finance renewable energy projects.  Nearly all of these companies provide financing options for commercial systems as well.  The cost of an installed solar system typically ranges from $8.60/Watt to $10.00/Watt before deducting the amount of the state rebate and federal tax credit.  Many factors play into the cost of a grid-tie system, many of which are determined during the project site visit.  The time required for a system to pay for itself is dependent upon the unique electrical useage patterns and needs of specific households, however the typical payback time is within 7-12 years.  During a site visit our system designer will provide much more detailed information about the payback time, costs, and improved property value.
